Manhole & Utility Structures

Manholes

Precast concrete manholes are an integral component of any modern sewer system. Precast concrete manhole sections are produced in a controlled environment, thus exhibiting high quality and uniformity. A properly designed and installed precast concrete manhole system provides superior watertight performance and will provide a long-term solution.

PRECAST GRADE RISERS
Precast Grade Rings can be added at manhole access openings to allow the manhole cover to reach grade level. Precast grade rings allow for height adjustability of access openings and are available in a variety of heights for increased flexibility during manhole installation.

MANHOLE BASES
Manholes are versatile in the construction of buried structures. Manholes are used at vault openings and pipe junctions to provide maintenance and inspection access to underground piping systems, and meters. We offer a variety of manholes in standard and custom sizes with various coatings and design components for use in different applications. Custom and standard sizes are available.

Utility Structures

Utility structures are an important segment of the manufactured concrete products industry as they are structurally sound and provide easy and secure access to costly equipment for maintenance. Precast concrete is ideally suited for all types of utility structure applications including electrical, gas, industrial, telecommunications, stormwater, and wastewater structures. It is also important that those products contribute to the quality, timeliness, and ease of installation of construction projects at competitive prices.

PRECAST INLETS & CATCH BASINS
Precast Inlets and Catch Basins include Curb Inlets, Drop Inlets, and Catch Basins. They are intended to collect surface runoff from roadways, parking lots and other surfaces and deliver it to underground stormwater conveyance systems. Inlets are produced in many configurations to meet local requirements and conditions. The purpose of a storm drain is to collect storm water runoff from the roadway and convey it to an outfall. A drainage inlet is usually composed of a curb-opening inlet and a grate inlet but may include a grate inlet and a slotted drain inlet. With durability and strength, reinforced precast concrete catch basins and inlets are very customizable to be manufactured in all shapes and sizes to meet site specific conditions.

WASTE WATER LIFT STATIONS
When wastewater has to get to the treatment facility and gravity is working against you, precast concrete lift stations (pump stations) do the heavy lifting. Wastewater lift stations are facilities designed to move wastewater from lower to higher elevation through pipes. Key elements of lift stations include a wastewater receiving well (wet-well), often equipped with a screen or grinding to remove coarse materials; pumps and piping with associated valves; motors; a power supply system; an equipment control and alarm system; and an odor control system and ventilation system.

STORM WATER
Stormwater is water from rain and other sources that drains into a street or parking lot drainage system where it flows to streams and creeks. Stormwater drainage systems help prevent flooding and bank erosion.

WASTE WATER
Wastewater is used water from homes and businesses. Wastewater is collected and treated before it is returned to streams and creeks. Wastewater, after leaving your home’s plumbing system, is carried through a network of underground pipes that lead to a wastewater treatment plant where it goes through a series of treatment processes. Once the wastewater meets effluent regulations it is then released back into the environment’s waterways.
